The Alaska Craftsmen Home Program, Inc. conducts regular workshops on energy efficient homes for industry professionals. These classes are designed for owner-builders, homeowners, engineers, architects, government agencies, regional housing authorities, Tribal and Village governments, Realtors, bankers, and appraisers. Alaska Housing Finance Corporation has frequent energy efficiency classes for professionals. Check out their calendar
Wisdom & Associates offers classes for contractors, home inspectors, mechanical administrators and more. Many classes are sponsored by Alaska Housing Finance Corporation and are free.
Cascadia Green Building Council serves the commercial building industry in Alaska as the local chapter of the US (and Canada) Green Building Councils. Cascadia offers targeted education and networking opportunities for architects, engineers, building owners/managers, interior designers, realtors, bankers, etc. This includes introductory and professional workshops related to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building program, and the Living Building Challenge.
